His Grace the Duke of Newcastle having informed me that it was his intention to lay before your Lordship a letter which I had the honor to address to His Grace in July last regarding my past services under Government, in various capacities, & the Right Honorable Mr Secretary Labuchere having recently informed me, that he had forwarded a copy of my letter to him, enclosing a statement of my services, for "Your Lordship's consideration, I trust I may be excused for myself expressing to your Lordship a hope
